Hi, I’m Tak*. Currently I’m a Web Developer, primarily working on Ruby on Rails and Wordpress projects, and general front end development (html/css/javascript). I have keen interests in (most things) web, mobile technologies, human computer interaction/usability, software process (particularly agile methodologies), and visualisation.
Aside from software, I’m also in the Sydney based artist collective Popperbox, love food, bike riding, music, play-doh, stop motion, cultural studies, This American Life, history, sociology, TED talks, and universal ideas.
…a person who is well educated or who excels in a wide variety of subjects or fields…It [embodies] the basic tenets of Renaissance humanism, which considered humans empowered, limitless in their capacities for development, and led to the notion that people should embrace all knowledge and develop their capacities as fully as possible. Thus the gifted humans of the Renaissance sought to develop skills in all areas of knowledge, in physical development, in social accomplishments, and in the arts.
Software development is my primary pursuit at the moment, but I don’t see it as the only thing that I will pursue in my lifetime. We’ll see what happens…
