Sooooo…. over 2mths since I last posted. It’s good that I didn’t set much of an expectation for posting in my first post. Set the bar low, and all else is a bonus I say =)

So here’s some excuses for why there’s been no posting, because excuses are like assholes…everybody’s got one, or a few in my case:

Work work – finished up work at Inspire, developed Das Cinema on Ruby on Rails from scratch, helped out on the VADEA site, and other odd jobs

Helped out some friends – Helped out good friend and talented beast of an artist, Matt Huynh with his new site redevelopment, and his upcoming solo exhibition Asperatus. Also been helping out art duo, Patches, with their Risk collectors project.

Got into my first car crash – It was completely my fault, so I don’t have anyone to blame for this one, but myself. Really glad no one got hurt though. I was pretty shocked by how fast it all happened, and how a split second misjudgement could cause something like that. Dealing with the aftermath of fixing a car was a bit of an experience as well. There were some life lessons somewhere in there.
Now I kind of freak out a bit if I see a brake light for a split second longer than I should. Not that bad a thing to be scarred with, methinks (considering no one got hurt).

Cycling around – I actually got the bike before the car crash, but the crash did push me towards feeling cycling is a much much more enjoyable means of transport. It feels like such a great natural human pace of travel – faster and easier than walking, but slower than driving, giving you more time to take things in. Also a pretty good way of catching up with people, and exploring the city I’ve grown up in but haven’t really seen much of. Especially seeing as I’m in the midst of planning a move to London next month – better savour the sun while I can!
I’ve also never really been able to fit in so much exercise in my life, seeing as most of my job involves sitting in front of a computer all day. Definitely appreciating the vast benefits of feeling healthy.

General chillin’. First time in my life where I’ve had some dedicated time off, apart from holidays (which don’t count because they’re necessary). I’m just going to enjoy it a bit =)

Till we meet again, oh fair blog.
